November 3rd 2014 saw the launch of Espace Europe’s European Express Calculator to the U.K’s Freight forwarding and Logistics Industry.
After a very short registration process, manufacturers and logistics companies will be given online access to Espace’s unique European Express transport tool. Armed simply with a collection and delivery postcode, customers with time-critical European freight will be able to generate their own rates and transit times for Express van deliveries to or from Europe. An online booking facility can then be used to make the booking with one of Espace’s Freight Emergency Service team.

Tony Shally, M.D, commented, “ As far as I know, we are the only freight company in the U.K offering online access to its European Express van pricing mechanism and a Money Back Guarantee if the delivery is late. Giving customers online access and booking facilities is the next step in this services’s development. We are also currently speaking to a number of companies who are interested in integrating this software into their own websites and setting up a partnership agreement with us.”
Espace’s “Freight Emergency Service” was started in 2012 and has seen growth in excess off 60% in the last 2 years. Time-critical deliveries now account for 30% of its business with the remainder made up from standard European road, sea and air freight. Amongst its recent contract wins are a Formula One racing team and a global golf club and accessories manufacturer who both use Espace for U.K and European express deliveries.
Plans are also in motion to develop this Express service further into a Global Emergency Freight delivery service. Espace is currently building a network of worldwide Express partners to add to its European Express network. Although standard U.K and European road freight still accounts for 70% of Espace’s business, the time-critical delivery sector is the one it will be focussing its efforts on in 2015.
